Scripture: Proverbs 6 v 30 - 31: "Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house."
As Christians we are already citizens of Heaven where our spirits are alive in Christ Jesus according to Ephesians 2 v 4 - 6: "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:"
When Jesus was resurrected and then ascended into Heaven we had already been forgiven and joined to Him waiting for the moment after our birth on Earth when we acknowledge and believe He is the Son of God. We are part of His Body and when we are born again we are aware of His Lordship over us.
When we are baptized in water after this acknowledgement, our old sinful nature dies and we are given the new nature of righteousness in Christ Jesus, which resists sin. We come up out of the water truly alive and changed. The falseness of baby baptism or Christening cannot be found in scripture as it does not conform to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
When we are true believers we can make a declaration against Satan the Thief which comes to kill, steal and destroy us. We can charge him with all the loss we have suffered because of his lies and enmity against Jesus and us. We can command him to give back what he stole plus seven times more. If he stole a million bucks from you he must return it plus seven million more.
No matter what is may cost him to do this stand your ground and charge him with theft. He is guilty so use the Biblical punishment to reclaim your losses. Make claims for the voiceless, nameless victims of sex slavery. That they would be restored to their families with seventies blessings upon them.
Make claims for the victims of alcohol and drugs that they may be set free and have seven times what was spent on drugs to restore their lives and help others out of that pit.
Make those who provoke wars by invading their lands to plunder, steal, rape, kill and destroy be made to pay back what they have stolen plus seventies more. They are guilty and must pay for the restoration of homes and cities they caused to be flattened. Satan and his cohorts .... those who refuse to see reason, who blindly support the monsters of senseless violence, must be part of the repayments.
We have a Biblical right to rebuke the enemy and punish him. Maybe till this moment you never knew you had that authority. It is given to you by Jesus as we have all power over the enemy. It is up to born again believers to use this authority to make the enemy scared of us. Scared to keep on hurting us, stealing from us, killing our families.
The unsaved must not do this! Acts 19 v 13 - 17: "Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified."
Satan knows Jesus and those who belong to Him and cannot hurt them in these circumstances. But those who are not born again trying to use authority of Jesus against him will find out the hard way.
Hosea 4 v 6: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
We must not try anything against Satan if we are not free from sin as the Lord will reject us and probably allow Satan to attack us until we get our lives right. We have to be truly righteous and obedient to the Word of God to use His name against Satan and his demons. If your wife found out you were cheating on her your authority would not count for much. You and your belongings would be out on the street.
To increase your knowledge read the Bible particularly the King James version. The other versions have some inaccuracies that can bring confusion. I use a Parallel Bible that has four versions side by side which helps.
Zechariah 5 v 3 - 4: "Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof."
When we see disasters destroying homes like fires, floods, this is how our Lord deals with those who use His Name as a curse word, or who steal from others. Before you empathize with those who have suffered loss please check with Jesus whether these are guilty and being punished or whether they are righteous victims. We need to be in agreement with God in these matters.
If we are in right standing we can ask the Lord what we will, and if it is also His will, you will receive it. He gave us a command to fight against Satan and demons, He gave us gifts and weapons to assist us. He took Satan's power away so that we could deal with him appropriately. It's up to us to fight the good fight or remain at the devil's mercy. Life is all about choices!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we worship You in spirit and in truth. We thank You for sending Your Son to make a way for us to be Your children. Let each one of us use the Sword of the Spirit to defeat our enemy in the name of Jesus. Amen.
