Scripture: Esther 4 v 7 - 8: "And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people."
Before King David ever took the throne of Israel, King Ahaseuras reigned over the Medes and Persians plus 125 other lands or provinces from Ethiopia to India. There were many captive Jews in Persia, one of whom was Esther, a beautiful woman who had caught the king's eye.
Being a favourite in the king's harem however did not entitle her to summon the king nor to approach him with any request. People were killed for less. She had to find a way and she called for a three day fast for every Jew in the realm, including every animal. She desperately needed God's help.
At the end of the fast she prepared a massive feast to honour the king and humbly sent him an invitation. For once he was flattered and decided to attend. He seated himself next to Esther and enjoyed this occasion so much that he asked her what her needs may be. She showed him the letter of decree that Haman had sent out calling for every Jew to be killed.
King Ahaseuras was very angry because he loved Esther. So much that he made her Queen. He called Haman in to enquire about this decree. He asked him what should be done to those who displeased the king. Haman laid it on thick. He was then asked what should be done for the man who found favour. Haman greedily gave it all the power he could muster.
He was rather shocked that he was the one who had displeased the king and would be dragged through the streets before being hung. All his wealth was taken from him and given to the Jews. Mordecai was honoured with a parade and wealth and Esther was highly favoured. The Jew's lives were spared across all provinces.
About 800 years before the birth of Jesus came the captivity of the Jews to Babylon under King Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel was a favoured wise man among the king's counsellors after Nebuchadnezzar saw the writing on the wall and died within 24 hours. Babylon fell into the hands of Cyrus, King of the Medes and Persians.
As we know Satan is the god of this world and his strong demon princes guarded every nation in the skies above the Earth. He was only vulnerable to angelic warriors from Heaven so that is where his strongest forces were deployed.
Daniel 10 v 11 - 14: "And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days."
In this chapter Daniel had been gently fasting for 21 days, and the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ came from Heaven to speak profound words with him. For 21 days His entry to Earth was blocked by the Satanic power of a demon ruler called the Prince of Persia.
This ruler was not a human governor. He was a massive evil spirit whose agenda from the beginning was to destroy Israel. Jesus had to call on the Archangel, or Prince, Michael, to help Him break through to Daniel. Michael is a warrior Angel who still guards Israel today.
On this Earth Jesus and His angels manifest in human form. Satan and his angels do not, but this will change when the Antichrist arrives. Satan in human flesh. His evil agenda is far advanced now and the end is nigh.
It was this same Prince of Persia which inspired Haman in Esther's time to annihilate the Jews. No doubt that demon would have also inspired Hitler to do the same thing during WW2. This holocaust killed millions of Jews.
The lands of Persia and Media became known as Iran and about 50 years ago the Shah was overthrown by the militant Islamic Regime of the Ayatollahs, The Iranian Guard. This oppressive regime dominated by fear and death. They built up wealth and used it to keep Israel under pressure through financing Hezbollah and Hamas, and now Houthis terrorist armies.
Their warcry is 'From the river to the sea' meaning the complete annihilation of the Jews in Israel. It is almost as though Haman became Hamas and Media became the mouthpiece in this current battle. Iran was boasting of being almost ready to wipe out Israel through nuclear weapons.
In a stealth mission Israel's ally, the USA, sent the only planes on Earth that could destroy the deep nuclear bunkers where the Iranian bombs were being made ready. Last week they were successful in shutting them down and brokering a peace deal.
Jesus shared with me His joy that the Prince of Persia had finally been brought down. This is now long after His three week battle for a breakthrough to Daniel was achieved. It had taken 2800 years to overpower this stronghold that had manifested in so much cruelty, hate and death. Spiritual warfare can be long and tiring over many years. Those who cast out demons seldom think of the prevailing prayers that brought those demons to the surface.
It is just Hamas left to deal with and to rescue the last 50 hostages. They are negotiating the end of hostilities now, including the release of the hostages. What a day of rejoicing that will be. However, the next annihilation is still ahead. It's called Armageddon!
It took the prayers of Christians and Jews around the whole world to reach the Throne of God to bring us this far in the war against Satan. It is bringing the focus more emphatically upon these last days before Jesus returns as King of Glory. There is still a spiritual war we need to continue fighting on our knees.
The Antichrist is rising rapidly throughout the world. Everything that is Antisemitic or antichristian is his doing. The Woke generation is just one element that is doing damage these days. The infiltration of Islam, The False Prophet, is also huge in every western nation. The Beast "666" is a clue to the identity of the Antichrist. He is a man and his name will add up to 666 for anyone who can work out this riddle.
He will emerge out of ten nations in Europe that form an alliance of some kind. Something like the EU but they have many more than ten now. The WEF at Davos is a huge part of the Antichrist arsenal. Covid 19 was their experiment in how to control the masses through both infection and injection of vaccine. How to isolate people and make them more vulnerable.
We are more awake to these schemes now but there are more coming down the pipeline. As Christians baptized in the Holy Ghost and fire we must allow Him to teach us, warn us, empower us with His gifts in order to be ahead of the dangers to come. Pray without ceasing is an instruction to obey. Overcome the world by distancing yourself from its poisonous traps.
1 John 1 v 7: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Your love keeps us going as we pass through this world, no longer of it as we belong to Your Kingdom now. Thank You for raising up those who do Your will in heavenly and earthly battles. We want to keep walking in the light of Jesus and having fellowship with like-minded Christians.
