Mary, Mother of Jesus

Scriptures: Luke 1 v 24 - 49; Jeremiah 7v18; Jeremiah 44 v 25 -27.

The last prophet to bring God's word to Israel was Malachi, 400 years before the birth of John, son of Zacharias the High Priest. He and his wife Elisabeth were childless so he was amazed when the Archangel Gabriel was sent from God to announce that they would have a child who must be called John. He was struck dumb until the child was born because he doubted what Gabriel said.

When Elisabeth was 6 months pregnant, the Archangel Gabriel visited her cousin Mary and told her that the Holy Spirit would come upon her and she would be the mother of Jesus, God's Son. Mary went to visit Elisabeth and both Elisabeth and her unborn son, John, were baptized in the Holy Spirit by the unborn baby Jesus.

Thirty years later John the Baptist had prepared Israel for the coming of Jesus. He told Israel that there was One coming who would baptize them in the Holy Spirit. When he first saw Jesus he declared, "Behold the Lamb of God who comes to take away our sin."

Mary kept all the things people said about Jesus in her heart. She was at the Cross when He died. She was also in the Upper Room when the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the apostles and believers who numbered about 120 people. When they spoke in tongues and prophesied so did she. That is the last we hear about her in the Bible.

The Roman Catholic Church have turned Mary into everything she is not and does not want to be. She is not the sinner's intercessor with Jesus. Jesus is not angry and needing His mother to plead our case before Him. We have direct access to the Father in Heaven to whom we confess our sins and make our requests.

The Body of Christ, the Church, is not the Holy Mother Church. Nuns are not the sisters of Mary, nor are they the Brides of Christ. Mary is not the Queen of Heaven. That title is given to Ashtaroth, another name for the Babylonian witch, Semiramis.

Semiramis was "married to" the Babylonian god, Baal, and bore Nimrod, also known as Adonis, Osiris, Tammuz, Hercules, etc. She eventually married her son Nimrod. She wanted to be a goddess.  Much evil in religious and warlike manner were done by them.

In the 4th century after the death of Jesus the powerful Roman dynasty amalgamated Christianity with the Babylonian religion (Read The Old Babylonian religion) and Semiramis was replaced by Mary.

"Mary" then became more honoured than God the Father or Jesus. People prayed to her. Statues were made of her which were paraded through the streets till this very day and beyond. The Roman Catholic Church then decided that on August 16th her Assumption into Heaven was accomplished and that became a religious holiday in her honour. It is just an assumption! Mary died and went to Heaven just as we do.

Talking or praying to Mary is a dead work. It is also spiritualism, that is communicating with the dead, which is forbidden to Christians. Mary cannot answer your prayers. She cannot even hear them. Nor can any other dead "saint" which are statues of renamed Babylonian or Roman gods. Praying to saints to find lost items or for healing or wealth is false religion.

If it did not matter in the scheme of things I would leave this all unsaid, but if you are trusting Mary to speak for you on the Day of Judgment you will be sorely disappointed and no way to go back and get it right. You need to get it right here and now to spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus. You will see Mary there too but she did not get you there. Jesus said in John 14 v 6 "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes to the Father except through me."

To undo the damage you need to repent before God the Father for making an idol or a goddess out of Mary. Change your mind. Put your faith in Jesus for salvation and answers to prayer. He is the One who died in your place and took your sins away with His own Blood. Not Mary. Read the earlier messages on What it means to be Born Again.

God does not condemn you for your ignorance but you will be condemned if you do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour because of the great love He has for you. Remove the altars, grottos, images and things pertaining to Mary and dead saints or even Jesus from your home. Jesus only wants you to reflect His presence in your heart to those who need Him.

Prayer: Father God we need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus to do Your perfect will. You want to spare us from hurt and destruction by showing us the truth even if it shocks us. Help us to know and understand Your ways so we are not deceived. In Jesus' name. Amen.
