Scripture: Matthew 16 v 19:
"And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom
of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven:
and whatsover thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven."
Peter was given these spiritual keys because it was
revealed to him that Jesus was the Son of God. It was a revelation from God.
Jesus said, "Upon this rock I will build My church". Many people
think that Peter was the Rock, the first pope even. Not true. Peter was never
in Rome, nor ever a Pope.
The rock is the knowing that Jesus Christ is the Son of
God. That is the foundation of our faith. Upon this knowledge and faith Jesus
will build His Body, the church. And to the Christians Jesus has given the keys
of binding and loosing.
Most people do not understand these keys nor what they
can do. The problem is that most are
taught that when they get saved that all the demons they may have been
subjected to, are immediately eliminated.
But Jesus said we must work out our own salvation with fear and
trembling.
Before we were born on Earth we were hostages in Satan's
kingdom; before Adam and Eve were created; before the Earth was made beautiful
for us. We were horribly tormented in a
place Jesus called "The Six Day Realm" because while we were there
being warped, God created a home for us which took 6 days.
He said One day equals 1000 years and today, 15 September
2015, the 6000 years are up. If this were a soccer match we would be in
"injury time" not quite knowing when the final whistle will blow.
In that time before this we were horribly abused and
tormented while being introduced to the pleasures of sin. We got into agreement
with our demon captors about sinful sexual practices; drinking; smoking;
stealing; lying; drugging; fraud; strange religious ideas with matching
costumes; lust; atheism; philosophies; fear and everything a psychiatrist finds
fascinating.
God put us in human bodies on ICU Earth to restore us to
His "original settings". We need to be loosed of all the false
influences and we need to bind the demons. Seventy percent of Jesus' earthly
ministry was healing and deliverance from demons. All we were brainwashed into
believing has to go. First we needed to be saved from sin and be born again.
There is no value in doing this work on one who is not
born again. So Jesus came and died to remove the death that sin brings us to.
He gave us life but now wants us to be free of all the damage we endured before
we came to earth via our mother's womb.
We need the gifts of the Holy Spirit to discern our true
natures; we need the Word of God to confirm our assessment; we need to pray for
the specific problems to be bound using the name of Jesus. "Demon of lust
I bind you in Jesus' name."
There is a need to be loosed from oppression and demonic
influence. "Henry, be loosed of the demon of witchcraft in Jesus'
name." So first we discern the problem, then we bind it, then we loose the
captive.
These are the keys to the kingdom. It ensures you get
there. It is an ongoing process but when we pass away we will be changed into
His likeness. Any work left undone will be sorted at that moment. All the glory
to our mighty King.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we do not want to miss eternity
with You because we didn't work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Help
us to use the keys diligently to bind demons and loose the captives in
ourselves and others as Jesus gave us authority to do. In Jesus' name. Amen.
