The Witness of the Holy Spirit
Scripture: Hebrews 10 v 14 - 17:
"For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified. Wherefore the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them; and their sins and inequities will I remember no more."
The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Godhead, and not an 'It' nor an influence, but a Person, who must never be grieved nor blasphemed. He is so pure and powerful that He must be highly esteemed by all. The Holy Spirit is a witness to deep spiritual truth.
In this passage, He is a witness to a prophetic word from the Lord in Jeremiah 31 v 31 which says that God will make a new covenant with the House of Israel, and cancel the Old Covenant, which they broke.
As we know, Israel is the Bride of Jesus Christ, John 3 v 29; Revelation 21 v 9 - 12, and this marriage covenant was made in Heaven before the World was formed. Lucifer, the archangel, seduced her on her wedding day, and war broke out in Heaven. His angels fought against Michael and his angels, and Lucifer and his angels were thrown from Heaven. Lucifer had his name changed to Satan, the accuser, because he put the blame on the Bride.
He kidnapped her and took her to his newly formed realm, where every type of atrocity and abuse was done to her. Jesus committed Himself to rescue her by becoming the Ransom for her. He offered Himself in her place, and took on her sin and abuse, until He was shattered like her into fragments, which became souls.
These souls carried the memory of the torment both the Bride and Bridegroom suffered, and these memories are manifested in each soul born on Earth. This was why Adam and Eve fell into disobedience so easily, and yielded to Satan to bring this world u Der his power. Genesis is the beginning of the rescue of first the Bride, the old testament laws and punishment for her adultery, then the Body of Christ being rescued in the new testament.
The Holy Spirit is a witness to all these memories being enacted. The damage was so bad at first that God repented that He had made Man and sent a flood to wipe out all but 8 persons. God shortened man's lifespan to 70 years to speed up the process.
The New Covenant brought forgiveness of sin to Bride and Body through the Blood of the Lamb. It is for the salvation of every soul that believes in Jesus. Those who reject or neglect His sacrifice will be eternally lost. He judges us by His own love for Israel - if we love her and pray for her peace and safety, we are part of His Body. If we hate her and persecute her, we are not.
Genesis starts with the marriage of Adam and Eve; and Revelation ends with Jesus hearing His Bride acknowledge Him at last and call on Him to Come Lord Jesus! He answers Behold I come quickly! This is the reason why we are here on this Earth, the very meaning of life. We have but a short time to get our lives right to ensure our salvation.
Prayer: Father God, thank You for restoring my memories so I could receive this revelation of the full story which the Holy Spirit witnessed to in Mark 1 v 1: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God. I pray many will understand and draw many into Your kingdom. In Jesus' name. Amen.
