God is Able

Scripture: Jeremiah 32 v 17:
"Ah Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee."
Colossians 1 v 16: "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him."

Have you ever looked into the night sky and wondered at the power and size of our God who has no beginning nor end, and who created our Earth and every thing in the Cosmos? He stretched out His arm and by His Word all things were created.  His Word made flesh is Jesus Christ, the Creator of all things.
John 1 v 14: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Nothing is too difficult for Him. There is no death, pain or sickness in God. In order to comprehend the hardships of man in a sin-sick world He had to send His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to find out.

This is equivalent to a human becoming an ant to find out if they feel pain when someone stands on them or sprays insecticide on them. Do they feel sad or cry. Only by being in their body and circumstances would a human truly know. This is how Jesus can say that He was tempted in every way we could be. He did this as Son of Man rather than Son of God.  He became a man to experience first hand what flesh does to a spirit and soul trapped within it.

Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father and is constantly interceding for us with Him. As we pray for one another, for nations, for our eternal home, God the Father receives our prayers through the Holy Spirit and Jesus advises Him on what that problem is like.  This is the Trinity interacting for our good.

God does not withhold the answers but our faith and understanding and obedience either open the way to receiving the answer, or blocking it with doubt or unbelief. When answers take a long time coming we start to get very serious with God and that gives Him opportunity to reveal the barriers in our lives and the situations that need to change.

Nothing is too difficult for Him but the difficulties in us cause us to either submit or rebel. Through our Father's love and patience we grow through the problems into the person He wants us to become.  He wants to build up our trust and faith in His ability because there will always be challenges to overcome.  The more we understand and have strong faith, the easier it is to conquer whatever enemy opposes us.

The Lord our God is infinite.  An almighty being that cannot be contained or restrained.  A created spirit of immense power and authority challenged Him before Earth existed, and lost, but in the losing he took hostages as leverage as cowards and losers always do.  The created spirit was Lucifer, aka Satan, and the hostages were us, spirit beings whom he tormented and twisted out of shape.

Earth was formed as part of the rescue operation, and we were given fleshly bodies so the damage Satan did to us could be assessed.  Most of the first generation were too badly damaged to be saved, but after the Flood, with shorter lifespan and the Law, there was more discipline.  When Jesus came Himself and took all the damage on Himself and gave us a new way to live, then the salvation of all who believe in Him became possible.

We are now in the End Times which Jesus said would be like the days of Lot and Noah.  He anticipated that a big bunch of severely damaged souls would emerge at the end.  We will need all our faith and courage to withstand the onslaught of maniacs like ISIS; plagues like AIDS and Zika; famine, extreme weather, earthquakes, tsunamis and everything else that Satan can attack us with to make us reject God and blame Him for every negative thing.  But our response must be:

Romans 8 v 37 - 39: "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are unfathomable in Your depths and wisdom but Your love is everything to us. We pray for our hearts and minds to submit graciously to Your will so that our needs will be met. We know You are able to save us and we are exceedingly grateful. In Jesus' name. Amen.
