By My Spirit

Scripture:  Zechariah 4 v 6:  "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts."

Luke 4 v 18 - 19: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
 19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."


God is a spirit, and so are we!   In this Earth realm we are clothed with a soul and a body of flesh.  We manifest what type of spirit we are through our bodies.  We call it body language, but the Lord interprets it differently.  He identifies our relationship with Himself by how we behave towards others.

If we love one another as He loves us, then we are spiritually healthy and filled with the Holy Spirit.  We need to understand what that love is. In Greek it is called Agape.  The overflowing, sacrificial love of Jesus, full of mercy, compassion and forgiveness, without compromise or doubt.  It is pure, holy love.

In extreme cases, some humans exhibit or manifest utter hatred and loathing for their fellow man resulting in rape, murder, torture, perversions and other horrors.  These are the souls He needs to save.  He knows what happened to them and He sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue them and others who may have less horrific manifestations but still need healing.

When Jesus lived among us on Earth, the Holy Spirit was upon Him to minister to those who were ill, oppressed by demons, broken hearted, or spiritually lost.  He passed this anointing of the Spirit to ALL who would follow Him even 2000 years later.  If we don't have this full power upon us we cannot do what is necessary to overcome evil and save sinners.

Why are we flying His flag at half mast as if Jesus were dead?  Why are we content to pew sit and let others do the real work of the Lord?  What we do for Him in obedience to His call on everyone is what we will receive when the roll is called up yonder.  If we do nothing that's what we can expect.

Jesus knows that Satan held all souls (that means all of us) hostage and brainwashed them in a fugue state to become twisted, confused, sinful, even monsters.  The souls were tormented for long periods to remove all remembrance of God from their spirits.  This was part of a spiritual war between God and Satan, in which we became pawns.  This war was started by Satan and still rages today.  It manifests on Earth as conflicts, rivalry, court battles, war, terrorism, divorce, governments, communism, capitalism, big business.

Ecclesiastes 1 v 11: "There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after."

The former things refer to the time Satan had us in his clutches.  God chose to wipe our memories of that horrendous time.  Hollywood chooses to try stimulate those memories by an abundance of horror movies, zombies, the occult and alien invasions.  Our encounter with Satan back then is the reason why we are born in sin.  It's why some people are born with challenges.  God made us perfect so who tampered with that?

God says it's not by might or power but by His Spirit that the solution to the world's problems will be achieved.  The pride in man battles with that concept.  They seldom or never see His hand guiding the affairs of men.  A reminder comes from Exodus and the defeat of Pharoah after God sent Moses to confront him.  There followed ten terrible plagues upon Egypt, which did not affect the Hebrew slaves, but only the Egyptians, before Pharoah finally let them go.

This whole drama began in the spirit in Satan's realm, and God proved His ability to defeat him.  Pharoah is a type of Satan, as was Hitler.  Both wanted to enslave or kill Jews, both were defeated.  Any who fight against God's chosen nation of Israel will be defeated.  The war and terrorism in Syria is another example of the anger of God against a nation that has plagued Israel for centuries.  They defy God and reap destruction.  When will they ever learn!

Everything that happens to you in your life is something that first started in the Spirit realm before you were born.  Your only  control is to be filled with the Holy Spirit through the salvation of Jesus.  Then you are on the same page with God and learning His ways, walking in the Spirit with Him.  Anything else you try leaves you at the mercy of your mortal enemy. You were born in sin, and must be born again to get free of its grip.

So open your mind and heart to understand what God wants you to know.  This world is actually a slow motion action replay of spiritual significance that happened before Adam and Eve were created.  The speed ratio is 1 day equals 1000 years.  6 days have gone by and we are into the 7th.  We are in "extra time" and the whistle can be blown at any moment.  Be ready for the Day of the Lord is close.

2 Peter 3 v 7 - 8: "But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
 8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

In most places the Sunday sermon makes us feel good about ourselves.  It does not challenge our sinful nature nor prepare us for the day of judgment.  Even this week Pope Francis is in Morocco pushing his Interfaith agenda where all roads lead to God.  Those following this agenda are in for a severe eternal shock.  This man is supposed to be Jesus' representative on Earth yet is making Him a liar!

John 14 v 6: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

You have a freewill to choose whom you should follow.....The Pope, The Lukewarm Church, or the One who died for you to set you free for eternity in Heaven.  

Matthew 7 v 13 -14: "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 
 14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."


Prayer: Father God, neither Satan nor human can withstand the power of Your Spirit.  There is no earthly might or power that can defeat You.  Satan was defeated by the death and resurrection of Jesus, and we were saved by His Blood.  We know You don't want to lose any souls and You have given us the task of telling them the truth. Please let them believe it.  In Jesus' name. Amen.
