The Mind of Christ

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2 v 9 - 16: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15  But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."

The absolute height of perfection is to have the mind of Christ.  Until we achieve this we are still operating with our own natural, finite minds, and although they may have been educated, and have degrees of learning, they fall far short of having the mind of Christ.

His mind, His thoughts, His answers to life's problems are available to those who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit.  He brings us into an atmosphere of spiritual magnitude that holds all the treasures of wisdom, understanding and knowledge.  The Holy Spirit is a university of packed knowledge that He can deliver to us when we need it.

The carnal, natural mind cannot comprehend the things of the Spirit.  Paul says those in this category think spiritual gifts, miracles, healings, deliverance from demons is sheer foolishness.

These things belong in past ages and are outstripped by modern medicine, psychology, psychiatry, scientific discoveries and experience.  They scoff at the laying on of hands for healing and miss the opportunity off seeing God at work.

When we become a new creation through being born again, baptized in water followed by baptism in the Holy Ghost, we are led into a multitude of new experiences.  The more adventurous we are in Spirit, the more amazing treasures we discover.  For those who believe that baptism in water includes the baptism of the Holy Spirit, read Acts 19 v 1 - 7:

"And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2  He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3  And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4  Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7  And all the men were about twelve."

Many people are being baptised in a baptism of repentance, John's baptism, and need to be baptised in the name of Jesus.  Infant baptism is scriptural tradition.  Babies should be dedicated to God until old enough to believe and be baptised.  Note that Paul laid hands on them after they were baptised and then the Holy Ghost came upon them.

I had the very great privilege of being led into this treasure house of the mind of Christ by two precious children, my own two sons.  They had a powerful anointing upon them and saw thousands of visions, had many words of knowledge, wisdom way beyond their years, the ability to give an accurate scripture for every situation, and a zeal for God that was like a continuous revival.

Out of the mouths of babes.....Matthew 11 v 25 - 26: "At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
26  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight."

The foundation of this ministry was born through the prayers and dedication of these two sons aged 5 and 10 at the start of this......they are in their forties now!

They truly possessed the mind of Christ from this early age and unconsciously , spontaneously and for hours on end in complete joy, day after wonderful day, taught me to believe in the impossible, and revealed the awesome majesty of God to me.  Nothing can replace the memories of that time, which are just as fresh and real today.

Everyone who has the power of the Holy Spirit operating within them can, through belief and encouragement, possess the mind of Christ.  Only Jesus knows where He wants to take us on our spiritual journey where His thoughts are higher than ours.  If we never have the courage to take a leap of faith we will never begin and never know.

He has a plan for every life that begins when we are born again.  We need to allow Jesus to reveal His plan in our lives and get busy with it.  Sometimes we need to back out of something we got entangled in that was not part of His plan, and He cannot work with us until we see the mountain and remove it.  Allow Him to show us where something we are fondly attached to or even seriously obsessed by, is a hindrance that is a stumbling block to our progress.  And command that mountain to be cast into the sea!

Jesus loves us and when we get it right His blessings find us on a daily basis.  When we least expect it, out of the blue, exciting things, great abundance and lovely people arrive in our midst.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am ready to possess the mind of Christ.  I have cleared the deck of all clutter and I am filled with the Holy Ghost and power.  Remove the natural, carnal thoughts and bring me to full stature to understand Your mysteries and do my part to fulfilling Your plan.  In Jesus' name. Amen.
