How Our Father Knows Us

Scripture: Hebrews 4 v 12 - 13:  "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do."

The Holy Bible is the Word of God written through different men over thousands of years, who never disagree with one another in 66 books!  This would be impossible if our Father was not the author, and the scribes were not appointed by Him.  Imagine one of our modern journalists trying to trip up Moses, David, Daniel or Jeremiah.  That I would love to see.

The writer of the book of Hebrews is believed to be Paul, and he says the Bible pierces through to our innermost being to divide spirit from soul.  The Bible is truth, and our spirit is made in the image of God, so there is harmony between our spirit and the Word of God.  However, our soul is the part of us that was tampered with while we were captives in Satan's realm before the world was formed.

Our soul was brainwashed to reject the Bible, God and eternal life, to rather become selfish, proud, angry, bitter, argumentative and harmful people whom God Himself would reject.  So for God to rescue us, He needs to untangle our souls from the mess they are in.

We may have been brought up in any one of the world's religions that were contrary to Jesus.  Even many Christian denominations have been compromised by doctrines and lies that do not match the pure Word of God.  Whatever the reason for it, we are continually manifested before God and He can discern every thought and intention of every one of us.  He has Xray vision and can scan our minds, and know us better than we know ourselves.

We cannot hide anything from Him but He will be merciful, kind and patient with us because He loves us and wants every person to be saved from sin and pain.  He made us and He has already done everything in His power to make a way for all sinners to return to Him and be forgiven.  It's not even hard to do.

He is the only One who can divide our soul from our spirit by the sharp two-edged sword of His Word.  The fastest way to co-operate in this powerful ministry to our own selves is to spend time reading and heeding the Bible.  There is an anointing upon the Word that bypasses our flesh, mind, emotions and will, and touches our sleeping spirit and revives it.  If we neglect to read and apply the words of the Bible, we miss out on very important lessons and direct hands on ministry from God.

For the Word of God is quick.......this is an old English word meaning Alive.  The Word is alive, it is an active ingredient in our salvation.  Jesus is also known as the Word and He is alive forever more.  He is in us to cause the Word of God to enable us to grow into strong, clean, bright lights who can share this knowledge with those who are struggling.

If God knows the depths of our thoughts and intentions, and we are naked before Him, who are we fooling when we try to project ourselves as someone we are not.  If we are all created equal no matter who is superior or inferior in the eyes of this world, God sees us as equals.  We need to adjust our thinking and renew our minds to know this.  God sees beggars and kings as equals.  And often the beggars come out on top in His assessment.

Our perception of this planet needs to be reviewed.  From God's perspective there are only two categories of people......The saved, who are called saints, and the unsaved, who are called sinners.  The saints are supposed to be witnesses to the unsaved of the love and salvation of Jesus.

Everything that was made on this planet, that is all material, things like money, houses cars, goods, stays behind when we die.  The saints go to Heaven, the sinners do not.  The finances to save the planet from the mess its in are futile.  In the thousand years of peace, when Jesus and all the saints are alive on Earth, the planet will be fully restored to the way it was when it was created by Him.  Rather use the finances to ensure that everyone is a saint by then.

Jesus in us is the hope of glory, and if He is in us His divine health will keep us from harm.  Because He never sinned, He never had a sick day in His life.  Sin is the root of all disease.  Through the Blood of Jesus sin is removed from our lives and we should be healthy people.  The Bible says the wages of sin is death.  When we actually understand what Jesus did for us we will survive any virus.

So many do not understand His absolute power and miss out on many blessings through unbelief.  By reading and understanding His Word, our faith grows and when we use our faith muscle it gets stronger.  If we fail to apply faith, that muscle grows weak and flabby.

The Word of God is powerful and will help us to know true from false, truth from error.  Whether we need to trust people will be determined by what Jesus tells us about them.  Ask and He will answer.  Sometimes the answer takes a while because the Holy Spirit is teaching us something that will refine the fruits growing within us forming our Christian character.

In Communist and most Arab lands the Holy Bible is forbidden.  They fear the power that it has to expose them.  They know that people who read and believe the Bible have a power and faith they cannot break.  They would rather not confront the power of God and be found wanting.  This should encourage us to read, absorb and apply the Word as much as possible because it scares the Devil.  He wants to divert us from it by any means possible so let's disappoint him every day!

Prayer: Heavenly Father Thank You that Your Word is infallible because it is true all the way through and it will preserve our souls for eternity.  Let us take time to feed our souls with the life-giving power it contains.  You know our every thought and I pray for us all to be renewed in our minds by every Word that comes from Your mouth. In Jesus' name. Amen.
