Abraham's Assessment

Scripture:  Hebrews 12 v 1 - 2: "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Yesterday we discovered who some of the people were who could be part of the Order of Melchizedek, and who could be manifested as the Sons of God in these end times here on Earth.

These Sons of God will include some, if not all, the mighty men of renown whose faith, endurance and refusal to compromise, caused them to be highly favoured by God.  Men like Abraham, Samuel, Moses, Elijah, Samson, David, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Daniel, Hosea, all the Apostles, and those who have proved powerful against religious error in the past 500 years.

Let us eavesdrop on an imaginary council meeting some of these men would participate in after they have manifested as the Sons of God, of the Order of Melchizedek, in these last days.  What would their comments and conversation be like?

Daniel wrote these words back in his day about 700 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem.  Daniel 12 v 4: "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

I think Daniel had a brief vision of Los Angeles from above, with many aeroplanes landing and taking off, the highway clusters with thousands of motor cars, trucks, hooting and speeding to go with the words Gabriel said....many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.  Now he is here and seeing it for himself!  Cars, planes, trains, ships carrying people to work, home or vacation, many going to and fro indeed.

Abraham, the Father of most of the populations of this world, had been told by God that his descendants would be like the stars at night or grains of sand on the beach.  Now he could see it for himself but what he sees both amazes and troubles him.

Abraham started out as Abram from the land of Ur in the Chaldees.  The people were pagan believers in the occult and witchcraft, sorcery, black magic and idols.  His own father was a maker of idols.  God called Abram to leave Ur and go to a land He would guide him to......The land of Canaan which would one day be Israel.  Abram left everything behind except his wife, Sarai, nephew Lot and his wife.

He had utmost faith in Almighty God who gave him a son called Isaac in his old age.  However, before Isaac, when God said he would have a son, Sarai  gave Abram her young handmaid, Hagar, to bear this child as she was too old to have children.  So Hagar bore Ishmael, who in later years would have twelve sons of his own, and feel cheated out of his birth right as the elder son.

God changed the names of Abram and Sarai to Abraham and Sarah.  Isaac, their true son, married Rebecca and had twin sons, Esau and Jacob.  Jacob was the younger by a few minutes but Rebecca favoured him and contrived for him to receive Isaac's blessing  and inheritance as an older son.  Jacob had twelve sons by various wives and concubines.  These became the patriarchs of the twelve tribes of Israel, and under constant threat these past seventy years from Arab nations.

So Abraham was blessed with Gentiles, Arabs and Jewish descendants, and instituted the circumcision of Jewish babies as a sign of the Covenant with God.  So now he was seeing the trouble caused by the four thousand years of conflict and rivalry between Arabs and Jews.  If only Sarah had left the matter in God's hands things may have been far different.  If only he had put his foot down and refused Hagar, this could have been avoided.

The world in Abraham's lifetime was severely corrupt and even though he pleaded with God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah from destruction, not one righteous person was found living there so fire and brimstone rained upon those cities.  The huge predominance of homosexuality there caused their downfall.

Today, Abraham is shocked to find that same dominance of gay pride manifesting throughout the world.  Luke 17 v 26 - 30: "And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed."

His assessment would be that God's wrath and judgment is about to fall upon the Earth to repay to their faces abortionists, corrupt politicians, haters of Israel, haters of Christians, haters of Jesus Christ, murderers, rapists, abusers of children, looters, thieves and religious hypocrisy.  There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth as they are consigned to the fires of Hell.  What you do to others will be done to you.

Paul will no doubt have plenty to say about the condition of the church and send out multiple letters on e-mail to straighten us up and get rid of Pharisees, sects, cults, and Catholicism.  All religious apparel will be discarded and the pure, simple gospel will be revitalised.

We will begin to live the faith as it was in the beginning.  We will walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.  We will heal the sick, open deaf ears and blind eyes, raise the dead and cast out demons in the mighty name of Jesus.  For the time we have left we will have Revival.  What a blessing that will be.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, its not too hard to imagine what the renowned men of old will say and do when they revisit Earth.  Let us start these changes before they get here so we have some real testimonies to show them.  Let us not fail our God and Saviour, let's not let Him down.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
