The Order of Melchizedek

 Scripture:  Matthew 11 v 12 - 15: "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

13  For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14  And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
15  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Malachi 4 v 5:  "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:"

There is a lot to comprehend about John the Baptist, who was a cousin of Jesus Christ.  Mary, three months pregnant with Jesus went to visit her aunt, Elisabeth, six months pregnant with John, so there was virtually no age gap between the two babies.

In this passage of scripture Jesus tells His disciples that John was in the past, sent as Elijah the prophet, who was taken to Heaven in a chariot of fire as witnessed by Elisha, who received a double portion of the anointing Elijah had.

In Revelation 11 there are two prophets in Jerusalem that are used by God to bring judgments upon the Earth and its people for three and a half years before being killed.  Their dead bodies lay in the street for three days while people rejoiced and sent gifts for the joy of their deaths.  These two prophets then rose from the dead and were taken into Heaven.

They are believed to be Moses and Elijah, who also were with Jesus, Peter and John on the Mount of Transfiguration, where Jesus was glorified in front of their eyes.  They heard the voice of God say, This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased.  (Matthew 17).

After His death and resurrection, many men of renown came out of their graves and were seen in the streets of Jerusalem before Jesus took these believers of old to Heaven to His Father.  No doubt that Moses and Elijah were among them. (Matthew 27 v 50 - 53).

One of the mysteries that the Lord has graciously revealed to me is about the Order of Melchizedek.  This was first spoken of in Genesis where Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek.  Again in Psalm 110 v 4: "The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."  This was to David, king, prophet, priest.  It meant that the priesthood would remain forever.

There was another hidden meaning to the Order of Melchizedek.  People chosen to belong to it are likely to have multiple entry visas to Earth over thousands of years.  The original Melchizedek was known as the King of Salem, meaning King of Peace.  This is also a title of Jesus, Who has appeared a number of times through the Old Testament, even in the fiery furnace in Daniel to protect three Hebrew men who refused to compromise their faith.

He also appeared to Daniel in chapter 10.  Compare what Daniel saw with the Alpha and Omega experience John had in Revelation 1, the descriptions are almost identical.  And He is coming again.

In Hebrews 7 v 1 - 3: "For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2  To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3  Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually."

There is still much that is unknown about the Order of Melchizedek but it gives us confidence that people who have left Earth in a chariot or whose body has never been found, like Moses, are able to return to Earth to help and strengthen the Body of Christ during times of crisis.

Will they appear among the Sons of God for whom the whole world is groaning?  Romans 8 v 18 - 22: "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now."

We certainly live in exciting times and our hope is in all these supernatural experiences leading to the Rapture and us forever being with the Lord.  That is our ultimate goal and it is drawing closer day by day.  No matter what we must face or overcome, it will be worth it.  Our joy will be greatly enhanced if we manage to bring a bunch of lost souls with us to the Kingdom of God.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, as time marches on to the Coming of Jesus, we are excited to discover more proof of wonderful events about to happen.  Thank You for preparing us for the great days of victory we shall soon see.  No matter what politicians, presidents or people may do, Jesus still reigns supreme.  Amen.
