Scripture: Revelation 12 v 9: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Ephesians 6 v 12: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
The word "Occult" means hidden or secretive, which leads us to darkness and what lies beneath. Occult practices and religions originated in the East ie Asia, where the Dragon is worshipped. . When the Coronavirus broke out in Wuhan, China it coincided with the Chinese New Year and Dragon festivals. Just saying.
The Holy Spirit in Acts 16 twice forbade Paul to go into Asia. He knows the spiritual battleground that exists there. The Great Red Dragon is the symbol of Satan and of Communism, an Antichrist system that persecutes Christians without mercy. Hinduism in India is another persecutor of Christians, as is Islam, all nations linked to Asia.
We open doors into the Occult realm through reading books or watching movies on Eastern religions, practices, rituals and by having idols in our homes. Statues of Buddha are particularly bad. We must cleanse our homes, or offices of such things. They attract demon spirits to harass us, causing confusion, marital upsets, divorce, illness, cancer, diabetes, heart problems, accidents and financial loss.
Africa was not called Darkest Africa because its inhabitants were black but because of the dark practices of voodoo, sorcery and witchcraft that encompass this continent. And all these Eastern and African practices have spread throughout the world and become norms.
Towards the end of Revelations a mighty angel shouts Babylon is fallen, is fallen! And that city is the true origin of ancient occultism. The tower of Babel was an early planetarium to study the stars for the occult astrological and divination purposes. God had to try stem the occult tide by changing their languages so they could not understand each other. The battle still rages, largely undiscerned, all over the world.
There was much witchcraft, sorcery and astrology in Babylon that has migrated far and wide. "Babylon" is now flourishing in Rome under the guise of the Roman Catholic Church whom God in Revelations chapter 17, calls the Great Whore that sits on 7 mountains. God is referring to their worship of Mary, a substitute for Semiramis the self-appointed Goddess of Babylonian worship. Plus their intermingling of false religions with Christianity, spreading lies and confusion.
Over 1 billion Catholics are trapped in this system. Even the garments the Pope (Pope and Pontiff are Babylonian titles) wears are replicas of the Babylonian priesthood. His mitre (hat) is the symbol of Dagon the Fish God. Roman Catholics don't eat meat on Fridays, in honour of Dagon they eat fish.
His two raised and bent fingers are the symbol of worldly secular power over the Church. Read "The Two Babylons" by A. Hislop (1857). This is the most comprehensive writing of how the Babylonian religion mutated into the Roman Catholic Church.
In 2 Corinthians 6 God says Come out of her My people and separate yourselves to Me and I will be a Father to you. It's a cult that elevates Mary to Co-Redeemer with Jesus Christ. Mary, the mother of Jesus, utterly rejects that name and all worship.
Christians who dabble in the occult by reading their horoscopes or doing martial arts, Transendental Meditation, yoga or visualisation techniques are confusing themselves and following after another god. Jesus said in Matthew 6 that we cannot serve two masters. The Bible is our standard and it forbids us to follow these practices.
Isaiah 47 v 9 - 13: "But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee."
The Lord is speaking absolute truth through the Prophet Isaiah, which applies as much today as it did in those far off days. He even uses sarcasm in that last verse saying let them come and save you. Another thing is the first sentence in verse 13: You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels.
This became problematic in my ministry when people seeking help were getting advice from numerous sources, some that clashed with the others. I decided that if someone wanted counsel from me that they should close every other door, to avoid clashes and confusion. Jesus always knows best!
I discovered that the names of the star signs are all ruling demons. A ruling spirit or a principality has high authority and many millions of demons under its control. The ruler sends his demons to invade at will. If we have left a door to the occult open it becomes a welcome mat for an invading demon. A dear friend was dying and needed salvation, she was in need of a short cut. Her star sign was Leo and I said reject Leo for the Lion of Judah. She did so and those words were the last intelligible words I heard her say. They were enough.
Other occult doors are books on the occult or witchcraft for adults or children. TV shows for children like cute stories of Gummy Bears that get power from drinking gummy berry juice. It programs them for when they are older and facing a drug pusher saying ,Try this, man, its got the power! The subliminal early indoctrination sets up a curiosity to try the power out. No amount of parental caution seems to prevent this. The wildly popular Harry Potter series of wizards and witches is a dreadful open door to trouble.
Other dangers are the type of music young people and teens enslave themselves to. They seemed to gravitate to the ones that had parental advisory stickers on them when cds and dvds were in vogue. Now they just download directly onto their phones. No parental control visible, no demonic control visible either but those rulers own the phones and the ones using them.
Until Christians put these and other demon rulers to the sword they will mock us, enslave us and kill us. So many people pooh pooh the existence of demons as real and harmful, although everyone talks about people's "inner demons" without realising the truth of what they are saying.
A while ago we were asked to pray and intercede for a man who for no medical reason had slipped into a coma. All we knew about him was his name and that he was a martial arts instructor.
Two demons immediately came to mind - both ruling occult spirits. The Kundalini at base of spine is also known as prana or The Force and is the Ki that martial arts practitioners bow down to; plus Rege a spirit that resides in the brain. When these two demons link up through special breathing exercises like in yoga, then feats of speed, power and combat can be performed.
All spinal problems originate from the Kundalini; all brain related problems come from control of Rege. We prayed for him and a lady team member in England did great battle under much pain for this man, who the following day woke up from his coma and was out of ICU sending texts on social media to family and friends. The doctors were baffled but Jesus knew exactly what had put him in coma and He called in His warriors to fight in prayer to release him from occult bondage.
When we follow a foreign god we step into the unknown and gamble with our lives. We don't see the danger, the minefield we run across never knowing when one will explode beneath us. God gives clear warnings but too few even listen and become like Eve eating the forbidden fruit and losing her place in paradise.
If the Holy Spirit is showing you that you are doing something dangerous please listen to Him and cease that activity immediately. Don't just minimize it to "take the edge off" as that is Satan's lie to keep his control over you. Destroy everything associated with that activity - clothing, books, obJects - by fire. (Acts 19 v 19).
Pray for forgiveness and release all those you guided into this activity with you. Ask Jesus to set you free of the demons that have bound you. He will block them from you unless you invite them back. Have fellowship with other born again Christians and read your Bible. Renew your mind according to the will of God.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we need help to know the strongholds of the enemy in our lives and how he has blinded us to the truth about You and Jesus and Your Kingdom. Open our eyes to see and our minds to understand the dangers of this world. Jesus overcame it all so we could follow in His footsteps and spend eternity with You. Increase our faith and obedience O Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen.
