Scripture: Jeremiah 1 v 10: "See, I have this day set thee over the nation's and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant."
Matthew 7 v 24 - 25: "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."
For your own eternal security please check the foundations upon which your faith is built so that when pressure comes upon it you can stand on that which is solid immovable Rock! If there is a weakness in your understanding, then you may wobble or fall. When a flood and gale force wind is blowing on what you have spiritually built, you need to be in a strong place.
Jesus is The Rock of our salvation. We are secure in Him, but we compromise that safety when we add or subtract from the things He taught us. In the verse above He said that a wise man is someone who hears and does everything He spoke about. That's the Rock.
Another Rock is when Peter said to Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus replied, Upon THIS Rock will I build My Church. This Rock is the revelation from Heaven that Jesus is the Son of God. If you live by this revelation and believe it enough to obey all His words, then you are safe.
Because there are so many false doctrines in the Church through listening to seducing spirits, you need to allow the Lord to pull down and destroy every false thing before He can build and plant truth and righteousness in its place. When you have compromised His Word your ability to discern truth from error is in tatters. So be ruthless with yourself and for the sake of those who depend on you being right.
1 John 3 says we must "try the spirits whether they be of God". One thing evil spirits deny absolutely is that Jesus Christ manifested in the flesh i.e. that He ever came to Earth in a human body. So if you are confronted by a person who is exhibiting signs of demonic oppression challenge him with "Did Jesus come in the flesh?" Watch his eyes. If you are confronting a demon those eyes will not look at you, they will look everywhere but at you. Then he may nod his head but refuse to speak, or bring forth many words as a smokescreen, but not say that Jesus was here in the flesh. You can then bind that spirit and cast it out.
Many people are oppressed from past sins or inherited from ancestors involved in the occult. They need to be delivered or when the storm comes that evil spirit oppressing them will cause them problems. Seventy per cent of the ministry of Jesus was healing and deliverance from evil spirits. We need this ministry today and Mark 16 v 16 says if we lay hands on the sick they will be healed and that we must cast out demons. These are the signs that follow believers. Jesus in us doing what He always does.
If your church is not moving in the power of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders as the early church did, you need to ask yourself why the church has not gone forward instead of backward in 2000 years. That church is built on the sand and will endorse sinful practices and false doctrines to your detriment. When a time of trial comes the Rock you need will be missing.
It's your eternal life at stake and these words are probably upsetting your comfort zone. Jesus sent me to shout out a warning to the complacent and the proud - God is not deceived and nor can He be tempted or held to ransom. The wind of the Holy Spirit has already started to blow across the nations, and shaking has begun in the church. Those who truly listen and obey are safe, those who persecute the speakers of truth and disobey the Lord are in danger. Heed these words. Check your foundations!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, in this time our only safety is in Jesus Christ. Please remove, destroy, pull down and throw away everything in our lives, family, church, nation that is an abomination to You, and that prevents us from coming home to You. Build and plant the Church in unity on the immovable Rock, and put us in it. Please give us the strength to share this message today. In Jesus' name. Amen.
