Scripture: Isaiah 42 v 6, 7, 16: "I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.16 And I will bring the blind by a way they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things I will do unto them and not forsake them."
When Jesus called me to follow Him nearly 50 years ago, He wanted me to see the big picture. It was evident that He would not allow me to be influenced by any particular spiritual leaning. I had to discard everything I had learned and start over.
The first area that Jesus wanted to deal with was my own spiritual blindness. It was tough doing this soul and mind cleanse, and it took time, but the result was what Jesus required, a clean slate to begin the lessons He wanted me to learn.
The real shock was that I had to leave formal churches behind. That He was unhappy with where the universal church had lost its way, and most of the saints were in spiritual famine, was made very real to me.
I had to leave behind all preconceived notions and sit at His feet as He removed the scales from my eyes. Only then could I begin to see the big picture. My problem was that I had no idea how I could help solve it in any way.
Researching the Bible with it's Author is an experience of a lifetime. Learning to love what He loved and reject what He rejected was very instructive. Removing barriers caused by the doctrines of man needed much strength, but eventually the truth emerged from the debris.
His purpose is to open the blind eyes, not the physical sense but the spiritual one. He wants the prisoners of error to come out of darkness into His light and walk in newness of Life. Examine what you believe against the actual Bible texts and get rid of traditions handed down for centuries that contradict the pure Word of God.
Infant baptism or Christening is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. It does not exist! But those who were baptised as babies, without a say in it, often reject being baptised in water after they are born again, not realising that a vital component of their salvation is now missing.
This is spiritual blindness on the part of those churches which continue this false tradition, and on those who follow the traditions without checking their Bibles for the right way instituted by Jesus Himself.
Being baptised is a decision only you can make for yourself. Mark 16 v 16 says, he that believes and is baptised will be saved. This is the truth. After you have heard the gospel, believed in Jesus, confessed your sins, been forgiven and cleansed by His Blood, then you get baptised. If you feel that you have a good case for not obeying this scripture, don't wait to discuss it with Jesus after you have passed on. Just saying.
There are those churches that insist that the Church is the New Jerusalem and we are adopted Jews and must follow the Law, keep the Sabbath, and all Jewish feasts to please our Lord. Nothing could be further from the truth! I do believe in keeping the Passover Seder as that was the Last Supper and Holy Communion began there. The New Covenant began at the Last Supper instituted by Jesus.
That same night Judas betrayed Jesus and He was arrested, tried, sentenced to death at high speed. The next day He was crucified taking the sins of mankind on Himself. He cried out , It is finished! He meant the time of the Law. Grace through God's forgiveness was the replacement.
These are just two things but can you see how many millions of people have been deceived for an untold number of years! There are many other errors that have been written about on this blog. Rather do your own research. You need to know what the Bible says about everything, and be ready to repent i.e. change your mind. Get that spiritual blindfold off your eyes and bless the Lord with your obedience.
It is time to get the whole church in order before it is too late. I left the church I was in and spent three years on my knees, like Apostle Paul in the desert, learning the truth from the Lord. It makes me peculiar because some people think I am strange, believe differently to them, so I must be in the wrong.
Acts 15 v 4 - 6: " And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter."
Acts 15 v 18 - 20: "Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood."
So the "law" became, no idolatry, no sexual sin, animals must have throats cut and blood drained from them. Definitely not going back to the law of Moses.
In Corinth, after Paul had established a church there where all the gifts were in operation, he had to write to them to instruct them in the proper use of tongues and prophecy. They were so super spiritual that they spoke in tongues all the time. There was nothing in their normal language! They became spiritually blind to the purpose of this gift of the Holy Spirit. They needed to be corrected.
The church today needs this too. To be corrected - because of the hundreds of false teachings that are causing people lots of problems. Think of the teaching that is still in widespread use although its completely false. People have been taught that they have thousands of angels at their disposal to send on errands. This started in 1980!
They send these angels to find parking, bring people to meetings, bring in finances, stop wars, stop corruption in government. The list is endless. The trouble is that we have zero authority over God's Heavenly Host, so the Devil's angels respond to the commands.
Fallen angels of very high power take Christian's commands and do the opposite! Finances dry up, wars get worse and worse, corruption is way out of human control! Intercessors who know this is wrong, dangerous, evil, pray daily to try to contain the damage. They sent false angels to stop the pandemic! Then there are Intercessors who use false angels of light in spiritual battles. Spiritual Blindness at its worst.
I can never join in when large groups gather to pray. My time is spent cutting off and binding these bad angels and sending them back to Hell. Many people in those groups have no idea of the harm they do.
Some years ago I got an e-mail from Apostle Daniel of Jerusalem saying he had been instructed by the Holy Spirit to unleash millions of warring angels to be sent to South Africa to bring about peace and stability. Unfortunately, that was the very week that horrific Xenophobia broke out in this country and it is still a huge problem here. I wrote to him and asked him to call back these false angels. He never responded.
We all need to be in unity, going together in one direction, to eradicate the false from the truth. We all need to do our part in passing on information to pastors, teachers, other Christians and encouraging them to spread the word. We must contain the things that are contaminating the Gospel of Jesus, accelerating apostasy and heresy, undermining the foundations of the Church.
Jeremiah 1 v 10: "See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant."
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Jesus wondered if He would find faith on Earth when He returns, because it needs truth and righteousness too. Lord help us to follow Jeremiah to root out and destroy the false, misleading teachings and to restore absolute truth in our churches. In Jesus' name. Amen.
