Scripture: Psalms 146 v 8 - 10: "The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD."
Acts 17 v 6 - 7: "And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
7 Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus."
When we speak of the world in Biblical terms it does not refer to this planet, Earth, but to a system run from behind the scenes by an arch-fiend called Satan, or the Devil, the great red Dragon or the Serpent. He used to be Lucifer one of God's three Archangels. The other two are Gabriel and Michael.
Gabriel is the Heavenly Messenger. He warned Lot to get out of the city of Sodom as God was about to destroy it with a huge blast of fire and brimstone. He helped Daniel understand the future events he had prophesied. He told Mary she was to give birth to God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
These events were upside down times for sure. As was the Flood in which pairs of all the animals and 8 humans were saved. Everything Jesus did turned the world upside down. Especially the Pharisees because He turned the Law on its head as well. He gave depth to the Ten Commandments and healed on the Sabbath.
Michael is a guardian and protector of Israel. They are Satan's target and need all the divine assistance they can get. A manifestation of Michael's power is the Iron Dome and David's Sling. They prevent many of the missiles and rockets from causing injuries and damage in Israel.
The people of the world are those who have not been born again, nor translated out of spiritual darkness into the Light of Jesus. Jesus says that these end times before He returns are like the days of Lot and Noah ie very evil.
We see this evil daily on social media, news broadcasts, newspaper headlines and with our own eyes. The world seems filled with madness, warlike politicians, corrupt governments, huge fraudulent ponzi schemes, sexual scandals amongst priests and counsellors, pandemics, and all the senators, esteemed men and women, famous billionaires that visited Epstein's Island of horrors. Plus the additional horrors of the Diddy Parties and the trial.
The rise of militant religions, anarchy, communism, socialism which are all causing chaos in economies, nations, trade tariffs, and in poor communities struggling to survive on next to nothing. God sees this as evil and says in His Word He will turn them upside down.
In contrast, in Acts 17, we see the worldly people complaining that Christians are turning the world upside down. Christians are proclaiming Jesus and that He will soon return. He certainly turned Israel upside down 2000 years ago until they crucified Him to try put an end to it!
1 Corinthians 2 v 7 - 9: "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
Here we see God's wisdom and mysteries were ordained BEFORE the world came into being. The world leaders, and the satanic hierarchy, never knew or they would never have crucified Jesus! Why not? Because they never knew He would rise from the dead and become the firstfruits or prototype for a new creation, born again Christians.
These New Creations have the ability to turn this world upside down! They do, and some are bold enough to go forth and be the peculiar "no longer human" beings that can do exploits in the name of Jesus Christ.
Believers will cast out demons, speak with tongues of men and angels, handle serpents without being bitten, poison shall not kill them, they will heal the sick.
It takes faith in Jesus - real faith - to walk as He walked and talk as He talked. Just this morning an earthquake occurred near Johannesburg, South Africa. This is an unusual experience here. It reached 5.0 magnitude and lasted 20 seconds. It rattled Windows, doors, crockery and people's minds at around 2.38a.m. By the tweets on Twitter about it some thought the end f the world had come.
This is also the 38th anniversary of the death of Karen Ann Quinlan, who turned my life and ministry upside down as she lay in an irreversible coma 12000 miles away. At that time I lived very near where this earthquake occurred.
To cut a long story short the Lord laid Karen Ann on my heart and I prayed for her salvation for years. At one point I asked the Lord to send someone to speak the gospel in her hearing. He told me to speak it out loud and He would convey it to her. I never told a soul. It happened 17 times.
I met Pauline in a school tuckshop. She followed me home and asked to be born again. And baptized. And baptized in the Holy Spirit. All in one morning. She is a fast mover. The Lord spoke to us in tongues and interpretation a few months later. He said at 8pm on 16 January 1984 you are to pray for Karen Ann Quinlan. He named 4 people to be present.
We were not expecting anything like what happened. After dealing with a few demons Pauline suddenly spoke in an American accent saying Who Are You? Then she curled into a twisted foetal ball and fell on the carpet. She was in this impossibly contorted state for 45 minutes. It had to be supernatural.
Karen Ann had arrived among us and she thought she had died! She heard us praising Jesus! The Lord said to me, Speak to HER! So I did, we all did, we were all three crying with the wonder of it. She was squeezing our hands. Pauline came back to us and looked at me saying, Brenda, she knows your voice! Then I truly sobbed. Our God is so faithful. He brought her to us.
It was long before cell phones but if a person could be a SIM card, Karen was it. Pauline would be removed and Karen would arrive, whenever we wanted to share Jesus with her. She loved it. Soon she was ministering to us. Seeing visions, speaking in tongues. Until she died this day in 1985. I still miss her.
It changed our prayer ministry forever as after her death what we had pioneered with Jesus grew to a point where we could talk to people in coma as and when the Lord willed. Many got saved and died, others got saved and lived. The Lord extended it to people who were in captivity, sex slaves. Josef Fritzl's daughter was one. Quite a few others also got freed. Amanda and two others in Ohio, enslaved for ten years heard us. We give God the glory for being able to turn the world of monsters upside down.
Jesus is coming soon and the world will be turned upside down for sure as the righteous rejoice and the unsaved, wicked try to hide under rocks to shield themselves from His holiness and power.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Hallelujah Jesus is coming back again and we must be ready. We must gather in those on the outside who do not know, who are busy with worldly things, and share the truth with them because soon it will be too late. Let us turn the world upside down and shake them loose of their chains to be free to live forever with God in Heaven. In Jesus' name. Amen.
