Scripture: Jeremiah 32 v 17 - 19: "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings."
What is easier for us to believe? Are we the product of evolution or creation by God? Did we grow from some swamp soup into people who have faith, individual personalities, creativity and talents like beautiful singing voices, mastery of musical instruments, dreams, or artworks valued at millions?
Even Charles Darwin on his deathbed said that his Theory of Evolution was a hoax. Yet it is taught by learned scholars, professors and scientists as absolute truth, and anyone opposing it is a complete imbecile. We must choose between believing in Evolution or Creation as they contradict each other. Only one can be true.
Our great God knows us by name. Many years ago when I was a very young Christian I was reading my Bible. Suddenly I was under attack. I never knew about demons. I kept falling asleep and I called out to God for help. I had books in my home that offended the Lord because they had demons attached that were trying to block me from the truth in the Bible. I called on God for help. I heard a voice as through a megaphone saying, Brenda, Brenda. Then I heard the sound of machine gun fire. The attack on me stopped immediately.
The next day a woman from my church paid a surprise visit. She had never been to my home. She walked to my bookshelves and started pulling books off the shelves onto the floor. I was shocked but curious. After a few minutes she was done. She looked at me apologetically and said, The Lord sent me to remove books that cause you problems! We put them in a wheelbarrow and burnt the lot.
So started my interest in spiritual warfare. Our great God is real and demonstrates His love for us in so many ways. He says in Hosea, My people perish for lack of knowledge. It's true. We may not be ignorant of God but may be doing something that offends Him. No amount of prayer can break through the will of man which can justify sin or wrongdoing. Not even God can oppose the free will He gave us. Even if it kills us.
Evolution cannot produce the miracles of the Bible, as evolution is based on chaos theory. Out of random, chaotic, chance an amoeba became a creature, out of this creature a variety of birds, animals, fish, mammals, and eventually human beings evolved. Every human so unique that no two fingerprints ever match.
There is order in our universe and on our planet. Each kind produces after its own species. Read the Book of Job for how faith and patience overcame a permitted Satanic attack upon him. Job 1 v 7 - 9:
"And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?"
God permitted Satan to take everything from Job to see if he would reject God but he never did. And in the end God blessed him with much more than he lost. God is real. Evolution is fake.
If Evolution was real we would see billions of hybrids in nature and in humans. We would be composites of swamp soup and never reach a place of order and discipline in our existence. Evolution has proved that it does not flow upwards into better and better. Survival of the fittest and strongest would have seen dinosaurs ruling today.
To have a concept of salvation, sin, a Saviour, we need to believe in God, Great God Almighty. We need to believe every word written in the Bible, and in Jesus Christ the Son of God, and Truly God, who was the only one who was born sinless and therefore able to challenge sin and overcome it.
In Evolution there is no sin, no conscience, no consequences. Therefore laws, jails, judges, asylums, care homes are superfluous. There would be no standards of behaviour, no right or wrong, no morality, sympathy, or love. We cannot have both. Out of Evolution Jesus could not come.
My father was a descendant of Sir Isaac Newton and no stranger to Quantum Physics. He built power stations around the world, nuclear and electric. He was a Freemason until 3 weeks before his death when he met Jesus and was born again. He went from a crabby old man to a person I wish I had known all my life.
The day before he died he woke up out of a coma to tell me that he could see the pearly gates of Heaven with my mother waiting just inside for him. He said I will be leaving tomorrow, have a wonderful life. I love you, farewell. He slipped back into coma and died at 11 a.m. the following day. Peaceful and happy.
Evolution denies there is a Heaven, a Creator and calls the Bible a myth. Even if there are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament that were fulfilled in one person Jesus Christ. Even if He could turn sinners into saints and see them do miracles like raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, open blind eyes, deliver from demons. None of this can be true if we evolved randomly.
Our God is Mighty and is present to deliver us from the wrath to come. We don't know the day or hour that Tribulation goes from mild to manic but we know the season and we know Him and are known by Him. We have a relationship that is powerful and beautiful. We are protected by Him.
If you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit you are safe. Jesus will show you what to do. Its the unsaved who will suffer the most and not even know why. Its our duty and calling to speak the truth to them in love. They need to know our Great God Almighty.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, our Great God Almighty, forgive us for letting false teachings cloud our hearts and minds that only trouble us and bring doubt and unbelief. Let us be clear in our faith and strong in our belief about You. Your Word says that Jesus Christ is the Creator of all things in Heaven and in the Earth. Your Word is true. In Jesus' name. Amen.
